The view to Nottingham Castle is back following a Lib Dem proposal to demolish it back in 2020.

As part of the cross-party "Broadmarsh Vision" published in late 2020, the Lib Dems put forward the bold proposal to knock down the NCP car park and restore the view to Nottingham Castle.

It took until 2024 for Nottingham Labour to finally adopt the idea, but now, in November 2026, we have at last got the view of the Castle back.

Lloydie James Lloyd, who spearheaded the proposal said:

"I'm truly delighted. We'll keep making positive proposals and campaigning hard to make sure the council listen."
