Getting The Basics Right

12 Mar 2025

Nottingham City Council took over four months to move some abandoned furniture - that should be a really simple thing to do.

The Focus team was recently shown an email sent to Castle Ward Councillors in September reporting the abandoned furniture but no action was taken.

Lib Dem activist, Lloydie James Lloyd, put pressure on the Council to remove it when he became aware of the issue in January. The furniture was then removed within a week.

Removing fly tipping is one of the most basic functions of a Council. Labour need to do better - the Lib Dems will continue to keep up the pressure.

The Lib Dems are strong local champions all year round - not just when elections come around.
